When we released these whorls, they weren't exactly cheap. And to be honest, we thought that a loop at the end of a stiff rig (e.g. through a figure-of-eight knot) would be even more conducive to the mobility of the stiff rig than this Ring Swivel.

But our customers asked for a Ring Swivel size 8. So we obeyed and added the swivels to our range. Incidentally, at a lower price than other manufacturers. Needless to say, these swivels are also supplied in the unobtrusive shade of grey, which is typical for Korda and adapts well to the bottom of the water. A shine that could scare off the carp is avoided thanks to this matt gray colour.

Like the size 11 Flexi-Ring Swivel, the size 8 swivels also allow a joint effect with stiff rigs. In addition, they improve the anti-tangle properties. Because thanks to the flexible ring, the leader lies parallel to the rig tube or lead core during the cast. It is practically impossible for the assembly to become tangled. That may seem a little far-fetched, but it's a fact.

Danny observed this anti-tangle effect during a qualifying round for the British Championships. Another angler was fishing with a Flexi Ring Swivel on his surface rig, which initially irritated Danny. When asked, the colleague explained that this anti-tangle effect is even given with very long and soft leaders thanks to the swivel.

Since then, Danny has been fishing left with a Flexi Ring Swivel and Kwik. "You never stop learning," Danny realized. For a while, Danny followed this tactic: first tie a loop to the bottom end of the leader (e.g. with a figure-of-eight knot), then thread the leader through the ring of the Ring Swivel, then the other end of the leader through the pull loop. Now tighten. The leader is already connected to the Ring Swivel.

To remove the leader, simply repeat this procedure in reverse order.
