Developing the perfect braided mainline for lure fishing is nothing short of alchemy, requiring repeated refinement and rigorous testing to achieve the ideal result. And we are sure we have achieved this with the W6 Braid! Our 8-strand braided line is manufactured using a special construction process and is specifically designed for spin fishing with lures. When constructing the 'W6 Braided Line', we only used the highest quality Japanese UHMPE fibers (Ultra High Molecular Polyethylene) in order to meet the requirements for high knot and load-bearing strength with small diameters and a round profile. In order to achieve greater abrasion resistance, the W6 braid is constructed with a fabric specially developed for this line, which we call "Advanced High PIC". The eight fibers of our braided line have a 36 PIC construction, which is noticeably strong for its diameter compared to other lines. In addition, the tight weave of "Advanced High PIC" ensures a smooth surface and optimal casting properties, even with the lightest baits. The overall casting performance is further improved by a Dura-Coating gel process. This gives our main line a smooth, hydrophobic surface, which reduces water absorption and greatly reduces friction. To achieve maximum color stability, the W6 is soaked in dye tanks before it is then cured in the oven to "bake" the pigments. Finally, it is sealed with a Dura layer for improved longevity.
