PENN has left no stone unturned to develop an outstanding surfcasting reel. This includes a robust and lightweight body made of XRC carbon, a durable spur gear made of premium metals and a virtually impermeable, sealed brake with HT-100 carbon discs that does not allow a drop of water, dirt or sand inside. It offers everything you would expect from a quality PENN surfcasting reel but in a much lighter package, whether you choose the 7000 or 8000 size.

The main feature of this reel is how easy it is to make powerful and long casts all the way to the horizon. Thanks to PENN's Slow Leveline technology, the reel achieves up to 50 line wraps per spool turn, meaning line lay is second to none and line rolls off the spool with ease with every cast.

The 7+1 sealed ball bearings hold up well in harsh saltwater, and the quick-drag system allows you to quickly switch between brake and free-spool functions.

The reel comes with two separate line reducers that can be attached to the spool to use less line per reel.
