The PENN Conflict XR Tuna is a great range of rods designed for trolling and drifting. Not only a great eye-catcher, but technically these rods are simply perfect. Equipped with an extremely strong blank with X-Wrap technology and fitted with heavy-duty SeaGuide rings, these rods can handle even the biggest fish in the deep blue. Unique to these rods is that they have relined, spiral mounted guides (left) which prevent the line from touching the rod's blank under heavy loads. The aluminum reel seat is fitted with a double locking nut that ensures the reel is always perfectly secured to the rod. Made from high-density EVA, the X-Cross pattern provides perfect grip, while the smooth shank avoids damaging the shank in the rod holder. The aluminum gimbal provides extra strength and a secure connection during the fight.
