The award-winning "Spin Shad" is a very versatile bait with which you can catch any predatory fish in fresh and salt water. It offers the angler a wide variety of uses. There is hardly any bait that can be used both quickly and slowly and that also cuts a fine figure when jigging and vertical fishing. You can offer it just below the surface of the water or fish extremely deep. The "Spin Shad" in size 1 (weight 22 grams) can even be offered in water depths of up to 20 meters.
The core of the "Spin Shad" consists of bismuth. This particularly heavy metal is encased in a fish-shaped hard plastic shell, the realistic design of which is more reminiscent of a wobbler than a metal bait.
What makes this bait really irresistible is the spinner blade, which rotates behind the body and gives the predators the impression that the "spin shad" is two prey fish. No matter where the first fish is heading, the second fish is always close on its heels. Since the "Spin Shad" vibrates very strongly, it attracts the predators even from a great distance. Once a predator has found the bait, he will often feel feed envy and attack the bait. As soon as the leaf has started moving, the "Spin Shad" sends out combinations of stimuli
Light reflections, water turbulence and vibrations that lure the fish to the bait.
The special shape of the leaf is very active, but exerts little pressure on the tip of the rod. The low water resistance makes it possible to offer the "Spin Shad" in all water depths. You can offer it in a water depth of 20 to 50 centimeters, but also at greater depths. Because the "Spin Shad" works its way through the water without resistance, it maintains its depth and does not rise like other spinning baits! Of course, the retrieval speed has to be adapted to the depth of the water. If the "Spin Shad" is to be offered flat, it is guided quickly. If you want to fish deeply, you crank the "Spin Shad" very slowly. The heavier you choose this bait, the deeper
you can offer it.
So that the "Spin Shad" maintains its running depth, the center of gravity has been moved forward and implemented through the solid belly of the bait. The stable horizontal alignment keeps the bait in balance.
This wedge-shaped universal bait can also be guided through reeds, branches or tree roots, as the wide belly covers the two upper hook tips towards the front. If you fish in the weed, you can also pinch off the tip of the treble hook pointing downwards (as with the Flat Shad Snagless). This measure reduces the risk of getting stuck to a minimum! Most days the fish take the "spin shad" so aggressively that you can catch just as many fish with the twin hook as with a three of a kind. On days when the fish bite carefully, you can avoid bad bites by removing the treble hook from the belly and instead attaching it to the snap ring that holds the spinner blade. If you mount the hook on the inwardly curved side of the spinner blade, this acts like a kind of shield and protects the hook from getting caught in obstacles. On the other hand, the leaf movement is only marginally influenced by this measure, so that you get just as many bites and suddenly you can use a lot of the careful touches successfully.
