Faster delivery thanks to the STOROJET storage and picking system

Through close cooperation with ICO GmbH, which is also part of the group, we are able to use the STOROJET automatic small parts warehouse. STOROJET enables us to make our processes much more efficient and thus achieve smooth workflows and significantly faster delivery times for you as a customer.

Within the STOROJET storage system, small robots move autonomously in a multi-story rack and reliably carry out the picking work, from which our employees also benefit. With this self-developed system, we have the opportunity to store even more items and, thanks to the lower error rate when picking, we also have lower costs and faster shipping.

The use of warehouse robots as such is not a new idea. But the size and flexible usability make the difference here, because the automatic storage robots only bring the goods carrier with the requested goods: efficiently, quickly and very energy-saving. For example, the picker sees the current packing list. Several warehouse robots receive the order in advance and drive the route to the lifts and to the correct level. They navigate independently to the position of the respective goods carrier and dock themselves to it. They use the goods carrier to navigate their way back to the lift and line up at the assigned picking point at waist height. The goods to be removed are illuminated directly in the respective compartment of the goods carrier by a lighting unit mounted above (pick-by-light) and only need to be removed. The employees now not only see the compartments for removal at the ports via pick-by-light and on the monitors, but also, thanks to a light signal, the appropriate shopping cart into which the goods should be picked.

The employees on the packing line only have to remove the corresponding basket and pack it.
