The Shakespeare SALT XT Boat rods set a new standard for boat rods in their price range. Due to the high quality carbon that is used, the rods all have a very slim blank diameter, but there is more than enough power in these rods. The sensitive tip section builds on a stronger backbone to ensure there is enough power to set a good lead at great depths and catch a big fish. The long front handle made of high-density EVA is easy to clean and can be held with 2 hands when playing a big fish. All rods are fitted with a rubber butt and X-wrap shrink grip at the rear to maximize comfort. The special K-rings ensure that the line can no longer wrap around the rings, which prevents knots and breaks.
