Description

These reels are still the best known and most used for big game fishing in the world. A Penn Senator reel can be found aboard Big Game boats around the world. Even after decades of use, they still do their job reliably every day. They are practically indestructible! Who doesn't remember the famous scene in the movie "Jaws" when the Senator role signaled the shark's first contact. The Senator series is equipped with the powerful HT-100(TM) multi-disk brake system. A strong housing made of composite material, line clicker, anodized aluminum spool, 2 stainless steel ball bearings, a main drive wheel made of stainless steel and the stable gear made of manganese and bronze round off the reels.
The Penn Senator Series holds more IGFA Big Game World Records than all other comparable competitive reels combined. No wonder, then, that the Original Senator Series continues to be the world's premier reel on the seas. The special Senator series is a further development of the Senator series, but with a higher gear ratio for faster line retrieval.
