PENN Affinity III Spod 8000 Longcast

The PENN Affinity III Spod is a fantastic longcast reel specially designed for spod and marker rods. It is equipped with the best features to make this reel as durable as possible. Cosmetically, it is a perfect match for Affinity III reels, but a number of important improvements have been made to make this reel best-in-class for this application. First off, the reel has an extremely high gear ratio of 5,0 per revolution, resulting in a return speed of 120cm per revolution. In addition, the large egg-shaped handle knob offers additional grip and comfort when retrieving quickly. However, what really sets this reel apart from the competition is the use of our patented and super strong CNC gearing - it's as strong and durable as can be and runs very quietly even under pressure thanks to the 7 sealed stainless steel ball bearings. Thanks to the slow oscillation system in combination with the flat and conically shaped spool, perfect line lay is achieved with both mono lines and braided lines, which leads to extreme casting distances. And last but not least, the spool has 2 sturdy round metal line clips.
