I bought the landing net because I didn't want to spend that much money as a beginner. I know that if you buy cheap, you buy twice. But in this case that's definitely not true. I find the folding and telescopic mechanism extremely easy to use. I sometimes forgot to unpack the landing net and already had a 1,6 kg trout on the hook. Even with one hand it was absolutely no problem to get the landing net ready. Incidentally, a hook that gets caught in the net can also be easily undone if you have a little patience and don't try to rip it out like a crazy person. After use, I wash it off briefly in tap water and let it dry for about 4 hours. I don't know if that's fast or slow, but I've had enough. I only cut off the top of the supplied packaging bag and so I still have a nice little bag in which to store the landing net. Maybe it will help one or the other with the purchase decision.
