We tied the name and cosmetics of this reel to the famous original 506. The 706 has proven to be the best selling ABU reel in the UK for several years and through the use of our engineers and consultants we have made some key changes to further improve the reel! New grip is more secure and syncro drag is more efficient (additional carbon shims) - Upgraded gear components have made the reel smoother and better performing - Improved gear lock design - now the pin secures the gear without damaging it - Added arrow on the Drum rotor to indicate correct direction for removal - Improved push button/pin release mechanism. Is now more positive and reliable - Same original 506 - New ceramic coated line pin which reduces wear and increases retrieval power - Improved chenille quality to ensure it works correctly
